January 5, 2009

Greetings:

It has been my honor to serve as the Treasurer, and I would like to thank the craft for the opportunity to serve our lodge.  I would also like to thank the elected officers for their support and add that we have had a great working relationship.

I would encourage everyone to support our new officers and the fresh ideas.  Our new incoming officers will give us an opportunity to explore you and different ways, which we hope will have a positive effect.

As you know, our annual dues are $77.50.  Of this amount, $51 is pledged for the upkeep of the lodge and $26.50 will be remitted to the Grand Lodge.

Bro. Woody Briscoe left a bequest to the Lodge amounting to a percentage of his estate, and the Lodge voted to start an Endowment Fund with this gift.  Only the interest from this money will be used to fund scholarships, other charitable endeavors and possible major improvements as determined by the Lodge membership.  It is our hope that others will remember the Lodge Endowment Fund either in this fashion or in the case of honorariums or memorials.

As we begin a new year, I look forward to again serving as your treasurer, and I hope you come out and support the lodge.

                                                                                    Fraternally,

                                                                                    Ross Webb, Treasurer
