Dicky Moore, 76, of Bagdad, died Saturday, the 17th of April, 2010, at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville.  He was a native of Bagdad, the son of the late Francis Drane and Virginia Berneice Perkins Moore.  A 1952 graduate of Bagdad High School, he was a member of Bagdad Baptist Church and the Solomon Lodge No. 5 of Free and Accepted Masons, and was a co-owner and operator of Moore's Appliances.  An entertainer at heart, Dicky was well known for his singing and showmanship, appearing in Little Nashville, with Porter Wagoner at the Little Opry in Florida, at the Corydon Jamboree in Corydon, Indiana, Country Place in Frankfort, and the Lincoln Jamboree in Hodgenville, to name a few.  Hunting, fishing, and collecting antique cars were his hobbies.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Moore of Bagdad; his two sons, Bobby Moore of Waddy, and Jimmy Moore of Bagdad; his daughter, Tammy Moore of Lawrenceburg; his brother, Bill Moore of Valparaiso, Indiana; two sisters, Sylvia Goodwin of Richton, Mississippi, and Wanda Mitchell of Louisville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with Brother Leon Tracy officiating, and interment will be in Bagdad Cemetery. Visitation is from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday at Hall-Taylor.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions in memory of Dicky Moore to Hall-Taylor Funeral Home.
