Roy Jackson "Jack" Graves, 80, died Friday, July 3, 2009 at
his home. He was a member of the Shelbyville First Baptist
Church, and Solomon Lodge #5 receiving a 50 year pin. He was an
assistant train master for L&N/CSX Railroad for 36 years. He was
a Korean Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his daughter,
Kim Graves Schultz, parents, Roy and Mae Wylie Graves, brother,
Coleman "Butch" Graves and sister, Louise Vaughn.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Smith Graves,
Shelbyville; sons, Jonathan (Judy) Graves, Bowling Green;
Gregory Lee Graves, Pensacola, FL; Dr. Roy Campbell (Denise)
Graves, Floyds Knobs, IN; daughter, Betty (Guy) Grubbs, Waddy;
sisters, Lois Hutchison, Waddy; Joy Dickson, Louisville; Julie
Jones, Louisville; brother-in-law, Buddy (Dot) Smith,
Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. Funeral
services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Shannon Funeral Home
with Rev. Richard Luebbert and Dr. Stephen Rice officiating.
Visitation will be 2-9 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial
will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the
First Baptist Church Benevolent Fund Monday Meal, 1516 Midland
