Petitions and Candidates

      Section 1:  Petitions for initiation must be accompanied by the fee; for affiliation by fee and demit.
Each petition must be recommended by two members, referred to committee of three for investigation
and lie over one lunar month.

      Section 2:  A candidate must present himself for initiation within six months after notice of election
or his election is void, unless the Lodge shall declare the reason for such failure to be good and
sufficient. In the latter case, the time may be ex-tended for six months; after that he must again
petition and be balloted for as in the first instance.

      Section 3:  The fee, except as in Section 1, Article IX, and demit shall be returned to a rejected
candidate.

      Section 4:  No candidate shall be initiated until a meeting following his election thereto.
