ARTICLE II

Officers

        Section 1: The first five officers shall be elected (by ballot), the rest shall be appointed by
choice of the incoming Master, on St. John the Evangelist's day as provided in Article I for stated
meetings; and whether re-elected or not, shall be installed as soon after as practicable. They shall
receipt for Lodge property entrusted to them, which receipt shall be noted of record. Bonds shall
be read for approval before installation of such officers, in addition to constitutional and traditional
duties.

Master

     
Section 2: The Master, or in his absence a Warden, may cast the vote of this Lodge for
Directors of the Masonic Widows and Orphans' Home and the Old Mason's Home in person
or by proxy. He sees that the By-Laws, the regulations of the Grand Lodge and the ancient
usages of Masonry are enforced. He shall have authority to call special meetings when necessary.

Wardens

      Section 3: The Wardens shall assist the Master in the dis­charge of his duties and perform such
other duties as may be de­volved upon them by the usages of the craft, By-Laws of the Lodge
and laws of the Grand Lodge. In the absence of the Mas­ter, the Senior Warden shall perform
his duties; when both Master and Senior Warden are absent, the Junior Warden shall act as Master.
At a stated or lawfully called meeting, if the Master and both Wardens are absent, the lodge may
be opened by the Junior Past Master of the lodge present and business may be transacted as if the
Master were present - but the powers of such Past Master shall not extend beyond that particular
meeting.

      Section 4: The Junior Warden must officially notice violations of the Moral or Masonic Code.

Treasurer

      Section 5: The treasurer shall deliver to the Finance Com­mittee a detailed report with his
books and vouchers in time for them to be examined and submitted to the Lodge at the first
stated meeting in January or oftener if required. His books are Lodge property. He shall give a
good and acceptable bond, conditioned upon the faithful performance of his duties, and for his
services shall receive a salary or $50.00 and his yearly dues.

Secretary
     
      Section 6: The Secretary shall receive, keep correct amount of and pay to the Treasurer all
Lodge moneys, have charge of the Seal of the Lodge and all books and papers belonging to his
office, keep a true and perfect record of all the proceedings of the Lodge, and make detailed
report as required of the Treas­urer. He shall keep a separate account with each member and
make out bills and present or send same to all owing dues im­mediately after first stated meeting
in November. He shall re-turn to the Lodge at the expiration of his term of office all
books written
up and pasted, all papers and other Lodge property whatsoever in his possession. He shall give
a good and acceptable bond conditioned upon the faithful performance of his duties and for his
services shall receive a salary of Four Hundred ($400.00) Dollars and his yearly dues. 

Deacons & Stewards

      Section 7: The Deacons' and Stewards' duties shall be as laid down in the Constitution and
usages of Masonry, and pay special attention to visiting brothers.

Tyler

      Section 8: The Tyler shall keep the Lodge property and room in order, serve summons and
perform other duties appertaining to his office.
